Marriage License

Information

We work closely with other vendors in town to stay up-to-date on the latest marriage license information. This is the current direction we've received directly from the probate court, but please note that their rules are subject to change without notification. Clients must defer to their guidance, and the information below is not guaranteed to be accurate - it's simply the latest info we've heard.

*Please read full instructions by visiting the Probate Courts website, here.
1. You must submit your application (along with copies of any necessary supporting documentation), by filling out the online form.

2. After you fill out the online application, both applicants are required to come to the Court for your license. Make sure you bring all necessary supporting documents with you (below). Please call to make sure an appointment is not needed.

Both applications need to provide proof of the following:

Identification: Driver’s License, State ID, Military ID or Passport
Age: both parties are at least 18 years old
Social Security Number: U.S. Citizens must provide their Social Security Number
Non U.S. Citizens may provide a Social Security Number or an Alien Registration Number issued by the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service.
A Passport is an acceptable form of ID for Non U.S. Citizens

3. While premarital counseling is not required, it does give you a discount on the marriage license fee:
License Fee without Certificate of Completion of Premarital Education: $86.00
License Fee with Certificate of Completion of Premarital Education: $61.00
At the time of your appointment, payment will be accepted by credit card, debit card, cash or check.
