HOW TO GET A Marriage License IN PINELLAS COUNTY, FL

If you’re getting married in St. Pete, one of the first things you’ll need is a Florida marriage license. But don’t worry—it’s easier than you think!

Step 1:
Apply online

Start by completing the eMarriage Application on the Pinellas County Clerk’s website. This speeds things up when you go in person.

The license is valid for 60 days and, depending on your residency and course status, you may have a 3-day waiting period before you can use it. See full license details on the Clerk’s site

After filling out the online form, both of you need to go to the Clerk’s office in person to finish the process. Bring valid photo ID and your Social Security numbers.

Step 2:
Go to the Clerk’s Office Together

Step 3:
Pay the Fee

Step 4:
We’ll Handle the Filing!

If you’re booking the St. Pete Elopement Package, our officiant will take care of signing and filing the marriage license for you after your ceremony—no extra errands or paperwork needed. You’ll receive your certified marriage certificate by mail a few weeks after your ceremony from the county.

$86.00 standard license fee
$61.00 discounted fee if you both complete a state-approved premarital course

(PLEASE NOTE: This is a general overview of the steps, and more in-depth info is provided on the county’s website. Also, county info is always subject to change without notice, so always refer to the official Pinellas County Marriage License site for accurate, up to date info.)
