A Serene Elopement at Abercrombie Park

Taylor + Jesse’s serene elopement at Abercrombie Park was so relaxed and beautiful! These high school sweethearts from Indiana chose a tranquil path in the park for their small, family-centered wedding in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Why St. Pete?

The decision to elope in St. Pete came after watching one of our TikTok videos! After talking through our ceremony locations, they chose Abercrombie Park—a place neither of them had visited before. It promised the low-key and scenic setting they desired. The park, known for its lush landscapes and quiet surroundings, was the perfect spot for Taylor + Jesse to exchange vows without the hustle and bustle of a traditional wedding.

The Planning

Taylor has never been one for extensive planning, and the idea of a large wedding was far from appealing. After their engagement in May 2023, they knew they wanted something small but struggled to pin down a location. The TikTok discovery of St. Pete made their decision easy and aligned with Taylor’s desire for a simple and stress-free wedding day.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair with just close family members in attendance. They weren’t looking for grand gestures; instead, they wanted their wedding to feel more like a gathering of close family sharing a significant moment.

Capturing the Day

While they kept the ceremony simple, Taylor + Jesse were enthusiastic about having fun and capturing awesome photos to remember their day. They envisioned their wedding photos to reflect the joy and ease of their relationship, with St. Pete’s natural beauty providing a stunning backdrop. And, they opted to add on photography time to finish their elopement with sunset couples portraits on Sunset Beach!

A Personal Touch

Having met in high school, gone their separate ways for college, and then reconnected years later, Taylor + Jesse’s journey has been full of adventures and growth both together and individually. Their elopement wasn’t just a celebration of their love but also a testament to their life’s journey.
